ACTIONS

Please put aside 9 minutes of your time to join us in taking the following three actions, which should take approximately 3 minutes each:

• 1. Make the switch to green electricity

• 2. Join the 10:10 movement and commit to cut your emissions by 10% in 2010 - www.1010UK.org
  
  
  
• 3. Plant a tree on-line through any of the following initiatives: www.treesforcities.org or www.tree-nation.com
  
  Or assemble a group of friends, family, colleagues, neighbours,  (ideally 9 in total of course!) and plant 9 trees, shrubs, plants or herbs in a special place to mark the occasion and use this location as a place to come together in the future and plan further group actions.

We have launched a Campaign 0n 090909 to make Croydon - Currently the most unhealthiest borough in London - one of the healthiest - we are lobbying for the UK's first city with a Meat Free Monday

We have organised a World Vegan Day Party and Health and Sustainability show on Sunday 1st November at Fairfield halls.

Hello - I did the following:
1. Sent 9 emails
2. Wrote to my MP
3. Planted a tree on Tree Nation
4. Signed up for 1010

I already moved over to Ecotricity and I've already stopped using my car!

I signed up to 10:10 last week, bought a pear tree to be planted in my
garden today, and have been on green electricity for 4 or 5 years.

WHAT NEXT?

NOW TAKE further actions in our 9 Action Areas over the coming year:

• Activism – Take part in a Critical Mass bike ride
  

• Awareness - Walk as much as you can, whenever you can, wherever you can
  

• Community - Get involved with the Transition Towns movement
  

• Conservation - Plant as many trees as possible and let us know at feedback@999itstime.org

• Consumer - Try and source at least half of what you eat from a 50 mile radius from where you live

• Culture – Get creative and make a one minute movie about climate change and enter this International film competition to help save the world!
